Often it is asked (on FB) what is your favorite base to work on. Up until this year I would say the 18" grapevine - round. Everything is symmetrical, the flowers are easy to insert, etc. I now will say the 14" and 16" are my favorites. I have learned to enlarge them by the placement of the flower stems, make a smaller bow, but just as full. The biggest reason for this change is I've had to make adjustments to the prices of the wreaths. Smaller frame, less quantity on the wreath, but just as beautiful, equals a slightly smaller price, and the customer likes that.

I think the oval wreaths are like a portrait, in that they draw your attention to what you are featuring. I have used the oval in a bee wreath with the hive down in the "v" of the oval. I use them also when I make a one sided wreath with the bow in the middle.
